Thank You God

My car was running hot this morning. Turns out that it only needed coolant as it was bone dry in that area. Thank you God that I have a husband who is handy and can figure out these things and much more complicated issues. Thank you God that we don't have a major expense just as it is time for the enrollment deposit for school. I also thank you for the times that we did have major expenses all lumped together. They made us very aware of our total dependence on you.
Romans 8:28
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[a] who[b] have been called according to his purpose.
Even if it turns out that something else is wrong with the car, even this little thing is for our good.
Thank You God. Thank you.

100th Day of School

Today Will's 2nd grade class is celebrating the 100th day of school. They were told to dress up like old folks. Bill reminded me last night after he put Will to bed. I really had no clue what to do. The little guy isn't smiling that much in these pics because the... cute can hardly see your eyes little boy squint smile... didn't go with the theme I thought. He also brought some bright green flip top sunglasses. That is Johnson's baby powder, idea courtesy of his teacher.

75 Is Not Enough...

I ran out of Christmas Cards. I didn't even send any to our new friends at Will's school and sent very few to our old friends in Dothan. Several other friends got shafted, sorry. Well in case you read the blog... Merry Christmas and please accept this electronic version of our Christmas Card!(And no you aren't 76+ in importance, we do Christmas cards in groups, work, church, etc, the order is quite random for the most part....You can click on the picture to get a closer look) Laura Ann is calling as I write this post. Will I ever get to upload some pics and catch you guys up?

I'm about to go get Laura Ann and try (in reliance upon my Savior) to prepare for our Christmas celebration keeping in mind what truly matters. It isn't gifts, a perfect meal and decorations or even the new acceptable idol of family. (I've heard on several occasions this season that Christmas is about family) A king born in a stable that died on a cross as payment for my sins, that is what matters.

Giving gifts, time with family, and a well cooked meal are all good things that can glorify God. Let us worship the giver of good things this Christmas and not the gifts.
